My husband and I take very few true vacations — as in touristing. We usually spend some time at the Oregon coast each year. And we might spend a couple of nights at the Skamania Lodge Resort up the Columbia River once in a while. But it has been years since we took an actual vacation.
So this fall we drove up to Vancouver Island and toured around for a week. We went in October and the weather was BEAUTIFUL — gorgeous fall colors, clear skies, great things to see. My new slide show has some of my favorite pictures from the trip.
I got a new digital camera just 2 days before we went, and I spent so much time playing with it. It is wonderful to be able to just shoot everything and then decide later what to keep. I even did some video clips — what fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
