Is preparing to teach a class harder than creating a design?

Do you think creating a class for others is harder than creating a design of your own on stitch software for example? I think when I am writing workshops I have to use the left side of my brain and the logic of language. I think sketching , creating a design. or sewing a piece of clothing for me is easier, as I use the right creative side of my brain and seldom follow patterns.
